How much do funruns cost?

Does anyone know if a SNELL M2000 rated helmet will suffice? I'm not rolling up with just a DOT helmet, but I dont want to fork over the extra cash for a SNELL SA2000 helmet if I dont have to because I dont intend to frequently drag/rally my car, and M2000 is sufficient for NASA and SCCA Solo II specs...
