So i just bought a sony xplode monoblock class d amp and after plugging it up i got a whining noise coming from my dash speaker. I tried putting the old amp back in to test to see if it was the amp but the noise was still there. Also when i take the rcas out of the amp and touch them together the noise stops. The noise does increase when the rpms increase and I have already inspected all the grounds and they seem fine. Please help.. Thanks

Had the same problem in my old car. Turns out that some of the wires were too close to each other. Had to wrap them in a non-interference tape. Also, my RCS's were backwards lol.

Ok ill re-route the rcas to the other side of the car and see if that helps.. As far as the ground from the amp ill try finding a new spot to put the bolt i guess. The amp made my system sound so much better but this annoying whine is messing it all up.

so today I was going to take the deck out and try some new rcas or potentially ground the current ones but when I went to take the deck out it seemed like it was snagged on something so not thinking at all I just tugged a little harder and wouldnt you know it.. i just busted the rca harness. Apparently when i moved the rca cable to the other side of the car i didnt leave enough cable up at the deck area so when I tried pulling it out there was no slack. Now I have to go on ebay and try and find a new harness. Awesome.

sounds about right, lol. Just when you think you get one thing figured out and go to work on it, two other things break, at least thats how things work in my world lol.. Keep at it, eventually it will all come together and be worth it in the end!

ok probably should have asked you guys where your trust lies in car audio places first but I took my car to car toyz and they fixed it.. the avic HU rca grounds went bad which I found was a pretty common problem in pioneer but recently ive been having boot up cycle issues where itll just keep cycling through boot ups nonstop.. somehow I got it working again for now but this stereo has given me such grief over the past couple weeks im about to go crazy. Im starting to think pioneer is a bad manufacturer of HU's
